After his father passed, Tobyn’s life began to go downhill.
“I had a lot of problems I didn’t realize I had,” he says. “I used drinking and drugs to kill the emotional and physical pain I felt.”
Eventually he ended up homeless, struggling to survive for months. Tobyn knew he needed help but wasn’t sure where to find it. So, when a friend recommended City Rescue Mission, he came as soon as he could.
Tobyn was nervous about the program, but as soon as he met the Mission staff members he felt right at home.
“The people at City Rescue Mission really care about you,” Tobyn says. “They want the best for everybody here. I love it here.”
Today, Tobyn has a new lease on life, has renewed his relationship with the Lord and is looking forward to independent, sober living and reconnecting with his family. This is the difference you are making for people in our community through your gifts to City Rescue Mission.
