BUILDING STABILITY TOGETHER

This time of year, I find myself noticing the littlethings that make life feel steady.

Routines. Familiar rhythms.

The comfort of knowing what each day will hold.

For many families, summer disrupts those routines in small ways. But for families experiencing homelessness, that disruption can feel much bigger. When school is out, so much more falls on parents ’shoulders. They’re caring for their children each day while also doing the hard work it takes to move forward.

To find stability. To build a different future.

And that’s what I see every day at City Rescue Mission. I see moms and dads who are determined. Not giving up—but pressing on. Doing everything they can to create something better for their kids. What they’re working toward isn’t complicated.

It’s stability. A place to call home. A steady routine.

The ability to keep moving forward without everything feeling uncertain. That kind of stability changes everything. It allows parents to focus on work and rebuilding their lives. It gives children the chance to feel safe and simply be kids. And over time, it creates a foundation that can shape a family’s future for years to come. That’s the impact you’re making.

Because of your support, families aren’t just getting through the summer—they’re building toward something lasting. Finding their footing. And, in many cases, stepping into homes of their own. Every gift you give is used to create real, meaningful change—helping families move from homelessness to home and giving children the stability they need for a stronger future.
