Rise cafe

impact project

People that come to the Mission for assistance to end their homelessness often face the challenge of financial security. Rise Café is designed to provide the tools and training necessary to obtain culinary and other restaurant skills in order to provide sustainable income and housing, thus breaking the cycle of homelessness and creating generational changes within the community.

Hearts of Hope 2020 resulted in the completion of a major fundraising campaign of $1.5M for a total rebuild of our kitchen, dubbed The Kitchen of Hope. To maximize the potential of this space, our new kitchen has been designed to create a training environment for clients, bringing educators and collaborators into the kitchen to provide industry level instruction and hands-on, real world implementation.

The Kitchen of Hope enables us to provide a higher level of service to our clients during their stay at the Mission. Rise Café is a catalyst allowing us to impact their lives far into the future.
