“Thank you for giving me and others the opportunity to become who God intended us to be.”
Raymond knows what it’s like to be homeless during Thanksgiving. To have no food, no water, no electricity, and no hope. He was living in a derelict house, where he wondered how it had gotten this bad.
“I had nothing,” he recalls. “It was sad.”
So when a friend recommended Raymond to come to City Rescue Mission, he knew this would be the change he needed.
Today, years later, Raymond’s life has been completely transformed, thanks to friends like you. Married with two children, he is now the Lead Housing Case Manager here at the Mission, where he helps his clients prepare for permanent housing.
Thanksgiving is one of Raymond’s favorite times of year at the Mission.
“City Rescue Mission during Thanksgiving is fantastic,” he says.
“It’s happiness, it’s joyfulness. It’s everything for people who think they don’t have somewhere to go or don’t think they have a family. But they do; it’s all here.”
Thank you for changing Raymond’s life through your support of City Rescue Mission.
“Without generous people like you, I wouldn’t be the person I am today. Thank you for giving me and others the opportunity to become who God intended us to be.”
