Dr. Amy Newberry LPC-S, RTP resides in OKC with her husband Joshua and their four children Madison, Jonathan, Graham and Finn. She is a local therapist that owns a Mental Health Agency that specializes in mental health services, trauma recovery, and family intervention processes. She works towards helping others navigate life transitions, and repairing family ruptures.

Amy also serves on the Board of Directors at City Care and OKC Metro Alliance working towards eradicating homelessness, poverty, and helplessness in OKC. Her strongest desire is to keep scratching the surface of social injustices and working towards empowering real change in real time.

Amy spends her free time traveling, reading, and in her beloved Colorado home resting and enjoying the outdoors with her family.

Amanda Taylor can be seen weekdays co-anchoring the 5pm, 6pm, and 10pm newscasts on KWTV News 9. Since joining the News 9 team, Amanda’s been recognized with multiple awards for her work. These include 5 Emmys, an Edward R. Murrow Award, Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters awards, Associated Press honors, and Society of Professional Journalist awards.

Amanda also has a passion for the welfare of children. Through her community outreach efforts, she has helped raise more than two million dollars to feed hungry children. 

When you don’t see Amanda on television, she keeps busy chasing after her very active children, Gage and Harlow, and hanging out with her husband Nick and their Wheaten Terrier, Willie.

project summary

This year’s project aims to create more restful and dignified spaces for our clients in their living quarters. Each day, our clients are doing the difficult work on the path to transformation and recovery. During this season, it is crucial that their environment and personal spaces promote the well-being of the mind, body, and spirit. This year’s project will fund much-needed updates and improvements to clients’ personal areas, providing enhanced privacy, safety, and practicality.  

THIS PROJECT WILL:
+ Create safe, dignified spaces that meet the needs of a diverse population
+ Enhance privacy for clients and families
Promote client well-being and quality of daily life
Inspire hope and dignity through renovated living spaces

project details

This year’s improvement project includes renovations for residential sleeping facilities. This project will create an aspiring, uplifting shelter area with an abundance of natural light, which welcomes residents to feel at home and fill them with hope and inspiration, with a more dignified design element, providing families with more privacy. This innovative project features warm colors, thoughtful lighting, updated flooring and private sleeping areas.

UPDATES AND IMPROVEMENTS:
New light fixtures designed to lift spirits, induce relaxation, and increase productivity
Mood-enhancing paint and wall coverings 
Luxury vinyl plank flooring 
Dignified sleeping areas that promote privacy, peace and restoration
