Volunteer Frequently Asked Questions

  • WHO CAN VOLUNTEER?

Anyone over the age of 18 can volunteer by themselves at City Rescue Mission.

 

  • CAN CHILDREN VOLUNTEER?

Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Groups of volunteers who are under the age 18 must provide at least one adult chaperone for every 8-10 children.

 

  • CAN I COMPLETE MY COURT-ORDERED COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS AT CITY RESCUE MISSION?

No, however you may want to check with The Regional Foodbank of Oklahoma.

 

  • WHEN CAN I VOLUNTEER?

  • WHAT WILL I BE DOING DURING MY VOLUNTEER SHIFT?

  • HOW MANY VOLUNTEERS CAN BE IN MY GROUP?

We consider 2 people or more volunteering together a group. Our maximum group size varies for each volunteer opportunity. You can see our event limit for each shift at http://allevents.cityrescue.volunteerhub.com/

 

  • HOW DO I SIGN UP?

Follow the link to register to volunteer. http://allevents.cityrescue.volunteerhub.com/  Once your profile as been created, you are allowed to pick the volunteer opportunity, date, and time in which you want to serve.

 

  • WHERE IS THE CITY RESCUE MISSION LOCATED?

Our address is 800 West California Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73106. We’re located in downtown Oklahoma City, just north of I-40 between Classen and Shartel.

 

  • WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Comfortable work clothes, closed-toe shoes (no sandals or flip-flops allowed). Please refer to page 9 in the volunteer orientation guide for the full dress code.
