When I think about Christmas at the Mission, I’m reminded of a heartwarming story that I’d like to share with you today.
It’s the story of a little girl whose heart was full on Christmas Day because of support from friends like you.
When returning to school after winter break, this little girl’s teacher asked each student to share what they did for Christmas. Knowing that she was living at the Mission, the teacher was prepared to jump in when it was the little girl’s turn to speak. But to the teacher’s great surprise, she didn’t need to say anything. The child looked up at her teacher with a big grin and said, “I went to City Rescue Mansion!” She could not stop talking about her favorite Christmas memories at the place she calls home.
This is the kind of memory you help create. Please always remember the vital role you play in making things like this happen. We can not do it without you.
May God bless you for caring,
