Regular Volunteering
Regular volunteers are those who intend to volunteer at the Mission in one of the continual volunteer roles (e.g. serving in the kitchen, after school tutoring, GED tutoring, etc.). You must be at least 18 years old to apply to be a regular volunteer. Volunteers can bring up to 5 additional volunteers who are all under 18 with them when they volunteer, as long as they have discussed the number with the Volunteer Manager. Those who should apply to become a regular volunteer include those who: want to volunteer on their own, want to volunteer as a family (anyone who is 18 or older in the family must fill out their own volunteer application), want to set up regular volunteering occasions, etc. Please expect up to a 2 week application process, especially in peak volunteering times. Group Volunteering
Group volunteers are those who are going to be bringing a group of volunteers for one time service events. A group can be as few as 5 or as many as 30. If the group will be serving the Mission in any capacity within the main facility, any member of the group who is 18 or older must go through the regular volunteer application process, including the required payment of $5 for the processing of the background check. Groups who are bringing individuals who are 17 or younger are requested to bring at least one adult (18 or over) for every five children (17 or younger). Please allow at least 2 weeks between the date of application and the desired date of service. Click here to apply for a time for your group to volunteer.
If you are a member of a group that is coming to volunteer, you will need to complete the regular volunteer application if you are at least 18 years of age and your volunteer project will be inside our main facility. Click here to complete the regular volunteer application.
